Workflow Username error

Hi,
I dont know if this is mentioned in any other thread, but we are facing a very peculiar issue. One of our users is unable to initiate the workflow. It seems that his username is the cause of the issue.

Is there a reason why in PERL "DOMAIN\patrick" will cause an error? Can the \p escape sequence be the cause? He is not able to start a workflow from any machine. The workflow functions fine for all else. I checked the entities database, and we even tried a new dummy user name, still the same issue with his name.

Any pointers?

There used to be problems with various things when a userid began with 't' or 'u' because of the escape sequence issue that you mentioned. I don't recall issues with 'p' but you should be able to verify it that's the case by creating one of the dummy user accounts (or finding an existing account) to begin with a 'p' and see if the same problem occurs -- if so you should contact IWOV Support to file a bug report and find out if it is possible to escalate it for a patch (though they'll probably tell you that patches will be made for 6.7.1 so you'll have to upgrade first)

If that's not the case / you cannot reproduce it with another DOMAIN account name that begins with 'p' then there must be some other explanation and you'll have to dig a bit deeper - both for yourself and for those of us here who might be able to assist you in debugging it.

Thanks a lot guys. I will go around to networking and ask them to create a dummy account. Will update this thread soon.
