Intermittent error?

Hi:

Occasionally, on the first attempt (but no subsequent attempts) to [re]generate a page from a DCR, an error dialog window appears with the following message:

"An error occurred in utility daemon. Error code: 4. Please see details in iwutild.log."

However, when I check the /usr/iw-home/local/logs/iwutild.log file, I see no messages with a time/date stamp concurrent with the error. Has anyone encountered such an error before and if so, how was it resolved?

I have seen this as well. I think it has something to do with the impersonation. I have no idea how to prevent it however. It does not seem to be a showstopper. You may also want to check iwutild_cmdout.log in the same dir.

It usually occurs when there is something wrong with your datacapture template or the formapi used in it. So thoroughly check the code.

I think it's more likely to be a problem in the PT code - but it doesn't hurt to check everything.

If the error message is not in iwutild.log as the notification informs you check the log file "iwutild_cmdout.log ". I'm getting the same notification, apparently TeamSite can not find my tpl.

I got a similar error, yet it was "Error code: 7" as below:

An error occurred in utility daemon. Error code: 7. Please see details in iwutild.log

Found a KB Article that talked about the "Error code: 4" and did as it said.

In iw.cfg set the [authentication] as below

[authentication]
impersonate_without_password=false

This fixed the "7" error I was having, but now an "error code: 5" is coming up for some users, but not all when they try to generate from a DCR.

I have opened a case with Interwoven, but wonder if anyone has found any solutions to this.
