TST regex

What am I missing ? Is there a bug I am hitting ? Am I really stupid ?

TS 6.7.1 Win 2003.

Got a text field, max 1 digit [0-9]. another field 0-9999

have tried many variations of this"

Number of Rooms

They both stop characters after 1 and 4 respectively however they are not limited to numeric values, anything is allowed. I have also included Adam's date validation and it is also not functioning.

Tips/Pointers/RTFMs appreciated.

I feel your DCR won't be able to "SAVE" unless you put digits in respective text items, it would give a error message asking to enter Required fields ....

We need to have some kind of script to throw the Alert to the content provider.

I knew it was something stupid. Thanks. I thought it would fail immediately on a new DCR, which it doesn't.

Also, was just testing it ....

Noticed it incase of 4 characters text item

when we put in 1aaa - it validates the condition
11aa - it validates the condition
a111 - this case it doesnt

If we have first character as numeric, condition is validated otherwise it is not ... this one shd be good ^[0-9]+$

Smth like "^[0-9]+$" would have been stricter. For example, "^[0-9]+" allows 09SP (Unless that's what you want)

Yea, that is what i get for trusting the examples:

That is from the yacht template, since it deploys to a small int, I figured it was correct.

I changed it to "^[0-9]+\$"
