Exception while parsing templating.cfg

Hi,

This is Niranjan working for Accenture, Bangalore. I am into a project where we are using Teamsite for Content Management.

Teamsite version is 5.5. Recently we are facing some probelms when we open the DCR's. Everytime it happens all of a sudden without any modifications done to the templating.cfg file.
The Error Message is:

"Teamplating Error
Exception while parsing templating.cfg ".

Whenever we face this error we are restarting the teamsite server which resolves the issue. This is the 3rd time we are facing the same issue and its really tedious process to restart the server everytime.

But we never got to know the cause of the error.

If anyone is aware of this error before and got a solution, please intimate.

You do realize that 5.5 is no longer an officially supported version of TeamSite (and hasn't been for over a year) - don't you?

Short of upgrading - I'd suggest verifying the memory on the server - if restarting TS fixes the problem it sounds like a resource issue.

When I looked into the log file I am able to see ArrayIndexOutOfBound Exception while parsing templating.cfg.

Donno how this is related to the issue without anyone modifieng the templating.cfg file.

And you said its the resource issue.... U mean which resource??

5.x is obsolete (as I previously mentioned) it doesn't matter which version of 5.x you're talking about.

Resource means things like (not limited to):

That's about all I can tell you - the rest is up to diagnosis and debugging - because you are unlikely to be able to get much help from Interwoven Support due to the fact that your version was end-of-life'd more than a year ago -- their short answer will probably be: "you need to upgrade".

You might try taking a look at templating.cfg . I've been running into this problem periodically with 5.5.2 as well (yes, I know...upgrade :-):-):-) I'm working on it :-):-):-) )

What I've found is that if I restore an older version of templating.cfg, it starts working again. Then, I can copy the newer version back over the top and it works again. Go figure.

Please replace your templating.cfg with the last working version.... if it works well then do the neccessary changes... I hope it works..

Apart from this, you need to upgrade your TeamSite...

done reverting back to the previous version of templating.cfg which was working, but its of no use.

Again I am getting the same error.

Please guide me how tp proceed further.
