How to install LS runtime on same server?
RonaldV
Hi,
Sol9, TS67Sp1, LS3
from the ls3.0-install guide:
"Separate systems for development and runtime environments are recommended (and a
requirement in most business environments), but it is possible to install both
development and runtime environment on the same system."
but nowhere it is explained how.
Does anybody know?
Cheers, Ronald

Make sure you have OD base/Rcvr +J2SE JDK installed .Are you running Apache Tomcat as the Web/App Server on this Teamsite Box ?
As the LiveSite Runtime installer will automatically try to configure LiveSite Runtime for use with Apache Tomcat .
I'm still trying to get this working

How to install LS runtime on the same server?
Install SitePublisher.
Once the installation is complete, run the installer again and this time when prompted choose to install runtime.

Thanks for your tip but this does not work.
Once the installer (of LS3.0 on Sol) detects the TS-install & LS-install on the machine it does not offer you the option to install the runtime.

I was trying LS 3.0 SP2 (3.0.2), where after detecting TS/OD/CSF, and prompting for the AccessService port and OD bootstrap user info, the installer asks where the runtime will be? ie..
Do you want to install and configure LiveSite Runtime Environment on this system? Yes/No
I chose 'yes', provided info on development/production databases, then it asks for 'Tomcat information', where you point to the CATALINA_HOME and choose a port for the runtime(1776).
No double install required.

Yes,
it turned out to be a very stupid question. :-) I was tricked by the text in the installer.
The question should be "do you want to install the runtime on this server next to the SitePublisher install?"
Anyway, if you asnwer yes to the question it will install both.
Thanks all, Ronald
