Forget for a moment about "how to do it". It can be DCT Inline callout, CGI Callout, callServer or by miracle.
Explain your scenario. What are you trying to accomplish? What do you want to happen and when (on what *Events*)?

In addition to explaining what you are trying to accomplish, learn about the ECM connector.

That provides functionality for a DCR to "browse" a MediaBin repository, import it into TS, and attach it to a workflow.

The requirement is, the users have to use images from MEDIA BIN server into their VISUAL EDITOR while creating DCR.

So after adding MediaBin image items using ECM Connector on a DCR, the users need to import the images into teamsite using a callout button., then the users can use the newly imported images on visual editor on the same DCR. Please find the attached image for the sample DCT.

Well the ECM connector will provide the functionality you need to import the images from MB to TS within the callout. Then all you need to do is make certain that the images are configured so that when they are in a TS workarea, you can reference them from the VFE.

I think when you call the callout, it will pull the images into TeamSite for you, quietly Smiley Happy

That is part of the ECM connector, you need to check the manuals.

However there were significant improvements made to ECM connector 2.0 from 1.1, they are drastically different. You should really upgrade to ECM 2.0 first.

If you are using ECM 1.1 you can use the Perl module to import assets into TS

If you move to ECM 2.0 you have to create a Session String, which I'm currently researching how to do. Anyone know how to do this?

Also IWOV provides tags in the TPL that will import the image on preview or generate, but I think you are trying to import the image for the user, so they can select the image from the VFE?

Why not just have them import the image using the "Import" button on the UI, then select that image from the VFE editor?

Actually the function is TeamSite:T::iwov_mediabin_import::get_filepath

I guess from ECM 2.0 afterwards, IWOV provides the option to import files from MEDIABIN thru the IMPORT function on the UI.

Also, I think the MB attribute in ECM Connector 2.0 called 'immediate' can be utilized to pull in all the content from MediaBin. We will have to specify the tasks to pull that content though.
