passing code in a dct

Is it possible to pass html in a dct? For example lets say I have a <text></text> field and I want the value to come out as "<b>text that was inputed into the field</b>". Is that possible? Would I have to somehow work it in regex or something? I know the bold tags could simply be coded in the presentation template. But was interested in the limitations of the dct.

With the new FormAPI, you could probably do this easily. Without FormAPI, I don't think that this would be possible.
