How to Sync MediaBin Servers

Hello,
I am looking for the best practice to implement the following.

We have four mediaBin Servers (Dev /QA /Staging/Production)
We are configuring ,developing and doing asset ingestion to the Dev Server
How can I Sync for the first time the Dev Server with the Other Servers.?
(folder, permission, tasks, assets etc)

Note:
Should I follow MediaBin Backup and Restore processes to Sync the Servers ?
Later ,We will use mediabin syndication manager for Staging Server and Production Server

Are you trying to move assets and everything from Dev to Prod once all your initial ingestion is done (and only once) or are you trying to keep assets in sync always?

If its the first case then refer to KB 55879 on support site. If its the later I don't know if you actually want to quadruple your assets. Right now you might be small but when it grows things can get difficult. Customers usually have multiple environments if they have customizations to the web client. Most of the customers have different data in dev and prod in terms of assets.

If you still want to keep things in sync you will have to mirror the DB and MBDataDirectory. You will have to exclude the MBSettings table from mirroring.

I have not done the second option so use your own judgment.

The customer want to sync Dev to QA ,Staging, Production Once (Only Once)
But they want to sync the Staging and production , once in a month
I have n’t worked on syndication manager, Bu I will do some experiment on it
Before I implement it and I will post it.

Trying to do similar things to the ones you bring up here - initial transfer of folders, assets & meta data "in bulk" from staging to prod, and thereafter syncing prod with staging & dev etc. The other factor is that dev is on a different domain, so the users / permissions would be different. How does/did syndication manager address these?

Syndication Manager does not try to replicate permissions. You set it up on two ends that could even be distinct companies. One end defines the data to be made available and the other end defines where the receiver wants it put.
