Cannot create a new DCR

Hi All,

I have a datacapture template for which I am trying to create a new DCR. But while doing so it gives me an error saying that,

com.interwoven.ui.formspub.datacapture.InvalidDCTException: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Prototype list is either null or empty.

If anyone could help.

You are not providing nearly enough information.

TS rev ? OS ? Can anyone create this DCR or just one person fails ?

A place to start is that errors like this are most often in formapi. Try turning your formapi off first and see if that works.

For a DCT this is most likely a case of FormAPI coding where you have a function incorrectly defined (javascript functions always have prototypes declaring the parameters or lack thereof that they expect to receive). It could also be an inline Perl script (you shouldn't use prototypes for perl subroutines - IMO) - but that seems less likely.

If you aren't using FormAPI and aren't using inlines - perhaps you're using VFE or TinyMCE and have some erroneous javasript code in one of their configuration files.

If that's not the case - did someone muck around with the interwoven source files??

If you're having trouble pinning it down - try commenting out - or removing (and then putting back) chunks of the DCT code until you narrow down the source of the issue.
