Virtual directory in ftp with Y drive
Amit_LnT
Hi,
sorry i found no better place to put this thread.
But i am struggling to find the solution. here it is.
we have a ftp site on windows on port 21. This is used for uploading the images through VFF. Now there is one more requirement for uploading the file by some other remote group on teamsite server. And we have open only port 21 in firewall rule. So i thought of creating a virtual directory with a alias name on the same ftp site.
But the problem is the that ftp site has root directory as
Y:/
and if I create any alias there say
test
with path
d:/test
. It throws a error
'550 /Default/test Sytem can not find the file specified'
.
If I changed the root dir of ftp site from
Y:/
to any location .. say
d:/
.
It works fine. So I thought it is something to do with the
Y drive
which i m not able to figure out.
one more thing i noticed is that if I trie to access the FTP site it direclly opens folder structure under
Y:/default
even though the root directory is
Y:/
.
Any help is most apprecited.
ENV: Teamsite 6.5 sp2 , windows server 2003 sp1
Thanks in advance,
amit
