Hi,

I am trying to set the checkbox item to read only. But while in the display, I am seeing the value of the checkbox with the textfield as readonly. Here is my DCT code and the image of the readonly portion. Any ideas?

RTFM.

Readonly is a type of field not an attribute. You will need to use FormAPI to do what you want to do.

Thanks for the reply. Yeh I am aware of setting the item to readonly through formAPI. But my requirement is in such a way that it needs to be set through the perl script (inline). Is there a way we can achieve that functionality without using a FormApI?

Can you not have a JS include in your inline Perl?

That doesn't make any sense given the nature of how inline scripts are processed (see other threads from today and yesterday for more information about that).

Why do you have to do it from within the inline script / without using FormAPI?
I would think something like

IWDatacapture.getItem('/Test/Test').setReadOnly(true);

either inlined within the DCT or included from a loaded JS file (preferable IMO) would do the trick.
