A good interview

Hello all,

I have to interview about 5 candidate with 1/2 years of experience in Teamsite. We are looking at people with Templating, WF and Opendeploy experience. I've never taken interviews before and learned TS gradually from my place of work. What are some good interview questions that will help me identify between people with experience and people who just know the syntax?

It is possible if you search the forums, you'll find threads on similar topics here - and mostly they are responded to by indicating if we provided the information here, then we'd be doing your/their work for you/them which essentially invalidates what appears to be the intent.

If you have sufficient experience - you should be able to judge whether the person you're interviewing does too.

If you don't have sufficient experience - we can't give you the ability to judge someone else's experience beyond whatever your gut might tell you - it doesn't matter whether your interviewing someone for TS, Oracle, C#, Java, Perl, etc - if you don't know the material at the level you wish to interview someone for - you can only judge really bad responses (really good responses can either be good, or someone who's very good at BS'ing their way through interviews provided by people who don't have the technical expertise to see through their BS)

So you either know enough about what you want someone else to do, or you don't - if you don't you can try to bring in someone else within your organization who does - if you don't have anyone else within your organization who does - then it'**** or miss - but I'd suggest you track down references and get their feelings (assuming that the references are real too)

You either trust folks to not lie, or you assume that everything they tell you might be a lie - it's your choice.
