B_Looser

Kindly advise.

What error are you getting?

True MS Office-->PDF ocnversion is new to 4.6. Previously you would get a PDF with a "picture" of the front page. With 4.6 you get the document as expected.
The underlying software is the same as that used for CAD support. For example, it relies on additional serfvices to be running in addition to MediaBin. Support can step you through trouble shooting.
One quick thing to check is for the existence of subdirectories called CADIn and CADOut in the MBDataDirectory.

Hi!
Actually I too getting the same problem....
If I am trying to change the Retrieval Task as "Output to PDF Format"
The following Error giving....
The asset(s) could not be retrieved from the MediaBin server.
od.doc: Exception in Primitive {1E885AE2}! Reason = Unexpected data, Message = PDFEncoder: Conversion of input file to PDF not supported
ERROR: Job {26EDCD2C-16B1-419B-A65A-4EF4D04D48C9} Returned error by primitive PDF Encoder from ForwardSetup(); RC = The operation failed. Check the log output for details

Before you try to retrieve the file as PDF, precisely what Asset Type does it start out as (that is one of the metadata fields present for all MB assets)? I checked and that error message means it did not find any image data associated to the asset which would usually indicate that the asset was inserted as a "Non-image". If that was not what was expected there may be a problem earlier on.
