Browse button in visual format editor

Hi,
I have requirement for inserting the files such as .doc, .pdf as we insert a image in VFF from teamsite area. So, can we add a button in VFE which will give us a browse to select a file (a.pdf) and finally saves a link like
<a href='/attachment/a.pdf'>test</a>
i tried searching on devnet. but not got anything helpfull.
i have to implement this asap. it will be really helpful if somebody can provide some direction on this.

ENV:
TS 6.5 sp2 on windows server 2003

If I understand correctly you want to provide links for DOCs and PDFs within your VFE.

Instead of looking for browse button in VFE you can upload your DOCs and PDFs in TeamSite and them provide a link to these files from VFE.

You are attaching the file or you are providing the link to the document, your example suggest you want to browse and create link to the document.
If thats your requirement you can use the link option which is already provide int he tool bar for VF.

Is there no enhancement for VFE from Ektron (or anywhere else) that lets you upload and organize images from within the content you're authoring? Here's an example of what that would look like: http://www.cellardoor.za.net/
