TS custom scripts supports which languages

On Teamsite 6.5 while writing customised scripts are we limited to using perl or can we use other languages such as VB script, .Net...If we can use what are the different do's and dont's.

You cann't use BV script and .Net.

customized scripts should be written in IPL (Interwoven Perl). Validations you can write in Java script.

You can write shell scripts, also codes in java but for VB you might need the .NET framework.

There are various different types of customizations possible with TeamSite - which includes (but not necessarily limited to):

Some individuals have used C# and/or .NET, some folks have probably utilized VBScript, KSH, etc. - but the primary choices are Java and Perl.If you're interested in using Java - you will want to make sure you have access to / license for the Interwoven Content Services Software Development Kit (CSSDK) - and ensure you have the proper version of the CSSDK for the version of TeamSite you are working with.For Perl - most of what you need comes with the product, but you can usually download additional modules from CPAN without too much of a problem.Different folks have different preferences. Me, I prefer to do everything in Perl, Bill Klish prefers to do everything in Java - neither is necessarily "right" or "wrong".
