Change the workflow status

In a workflow, the task1 has transited to task2. Now, can we change the workflow status, rollback to the state of task1?
In the administrator role, there is any command line tools or others can do this?

If you're referring to "Take Back Task", I think you can only do that in the situation where Task A is a UserTask and Task B is an idempotent ExternalTask.
