Can some assist me in understanding this:

path — displays a path on the MediaBin server where the document file can be accessed.

Path is an attribute for the ECM Connector Dialog item. Is it something similar to the cieling dir in forms publisher?

Without any context of what document this is I am assuming it is talking about the path in MediaBin where the asset resides. Something like:

Media Database\My Test Assets\Image Assets\My Image.jpg

Sorry for the guffaw. This is from the ecm.20.g.pdf.
Its a parameter for the ECM Connector Dialog item within the FormsPublisher module. I would like to set the start directory for the ECM connector dialog when it browses into MediaBin. Something on the lines of a cieling dir in data capture templates. I was wondering if the path would work as a cieling directory specification.

I do not think ECM2.0 has the MB ceiling directory feature. There might be a FR already for this and would be a good one. You might want to check with support and add more support to the FR.

I realize this is an old post - but is there an official FR # for this?
The documentation is, IMO, pretty sparse / vague about how to properly configure the dialog-input's and dialog-outputs and what each piece means.

There's a 'path' and an 'arearelpath' setting

Does 'path' actually get used for anything? Or was it the stub of an idea to provide for the functionality we're asking about - that simply never got implemented?

/somedir/dirCIf I set ceilingDir's input value to "somedir/dirA" or "somedir/dirB" - it works.If I set ceilingDir's input value to "" (empty string), "/", "somedir", or "somedir/" - it seems to behave as if it isn't set at all and just starts with wherever the last ECM-MB session ended.I'm still curious what 'path' is supposed to do - but at least I have a way of achieving the desired effect for my customer now.
