Other Deployment Tools for TeamSite

Hi all,

We are currently using TeamSite 6.7.1 on Solaris, and OpenDeploy 5.6.x through 6.1.x running on Solaris, Linux, and Windows. Has anyone found other deployment tools similar to OpenDeploy to deploy assets, and possibly to DBs as well? I came across a product called "RepliWeb" that appears good, so curious as to what else might be out there. Thanks.

We use repliweb, I cannot stand it. I would use OD in a second if I could. I have to copy files from TS to a share for repliweb. It then pushes out the files. It runs every 10 minutes so I always get calls, why did my content not go out.

The obvious OD replacement is rsync if you are only transferring content. We use that for some of our static sites and it "just works".

As for DD replacements, some DB's have xml2db extensions. For example, Oracle has a "XML SQL Utility" which could be a possible alternative to DD. I am going to start some POC's soon to see if it can replace DD which has become a huge bottleneck for us.

Thanks for the info so far. Our Team had a webex with RepliWeb yesterday, and it would meet our needs to deploy static content along with replicating IIS servers for our other Web Team members. From the webex, the assets shouldn't have to first be put in a share first. With the TeamSite server being either an "edge" (receiver) or "center" (base), it should work the same way as OD. The only drawback is that it doesn't do the data deploy, or have the workflows like Control HUB (we're checking that out now). But the UI it provides appears better...one client-server UI for administration, and another web UI for users. And with the OD licenses being fairly expensive, this might be a good alternative.
