How to propagate group permission to staging

I am doing migration from TS 6.1 to 6.7.1 in Windows.

For each workarea, I tried to set the permission with TS group instead of Windows local group. After applying new TS group permission to a workarea, how can I propagate this permission of all files and folders to the staging area? Should I submit the whole workarea in order to propagate the permission to staging? Any alternative ways? Thanks.

For roles and permissions issues after migration to TS 6.7.1, i suggest all to take help from Iwov Support.

If you change the permissions on the files - you need to re-submit them.
If the directories are pre-existing (already contain versioned content) I don't believe you can do a "simple" re-submit of them (TS doesn't version directories, only files within directories). I believe the "work-around" is something like:

utility to remap that group's GID to your TS group's GID (read the manual and various support site KB articles for details)
