Then you cannot do it.

It has to be done in Perl because FormAPI runs on the client and perl runs on the server.

The best you can do in FormAPI without callServer is to use "tag" URL command and allow your user to enter Metadata in MDCT Page.

Thank you for your replies. Even I was aware of that, just wanted to know is there any way somehow with JS. I changed my logic/design altogether and went ahead.
