How can I remove 1000 tasks/jobs from the list rather than removing each and every task/jon?

Since you need to provide the ids (task or job) for removal you have to do it one at a time, though you can run a loop and let the program do it for you.

(1) get the server name
(2) get the list of active tasks
(3) capture the task description which you want to delete
(4) run the loop for task decription captured at step (3) in the list of active tasks
(5) kill the tasks with 'iwrmjob.exe'

You can do with GetWorkflows() but if you system has too many thousands of active workflows then this might be a problem. An easier way to do if you want to get only your jobs. Our perl is written this way, initially we had GetWorkflows().

1) Run iwqueryjobs < XMLQUERY (Refer Documentation for query)
2) Run through the ID's and for each ID run iwrmjob ID

I saved the text in a new file I called remove_old_jobs.ipl and invoked it using

<iw-home>\iw-perl\bin\perl.exe <path-to-ipl-file>\remove_old_jobs.ipl -s -d 365

The -v param will put it in verbose mode; the -s param will simulate it, and not actually run it, and the -d param says to get rid of any jobs equal to or before -d days ago.
