XML Parser Error

Hi, we're running Teamsite 6.7 and when I try to generate a file I get an error. After looking in the logs it turns out to be:

XML parse error:
not well-formed (invalid token) at line 293, column 15, byte 21698 at /usr/iw-ho
me/iw-perl/vendor/lib/XML/Parser.pm line 187

I've checked the DCR and the XML is well formed. Any Ideas? Thanks for all your help!

The error is coming at the time of reading the XML or writing/generating an XML??

I'm a little new to Teamsite so this might be a little vague. The error orginally occurs when I regenerate/generate the page. So what ever process is being utilized when that occurs.

Then you have either a problem int he DCR or in the TPL. Without seeing both it is impossible to debug.

Could you please attach the files; how you are parsing and what are you parsing?

I think the problem is with your TPL.Please paste the code...

A couple of point, I suspect the issue is in your DCR, not in your TPL (though I certainly could be wrong), you say the XML is good, how did you verify that ?

Also this should not make a difference, but this code

[html]
iwpt_output($url_address);
[/html]

can be written as

[html]
{iw_value name="$url_address"/}
[/html]

This TPL is way too complex for someone to read and debug, so here is how you can do it:

open a shell (Unix, DOS, etc)

run iwpt_compile and attempt to build an output file. Place some print statements in the TPL (within iwperl tags) and determine what line the error is occurring at.

Once you have narrowed it down, post the offending line if you still need help

TPL is definitely malformed. Your main problem is the usage of XML Tags in an attribute Value, that's a big no-no.

<a href="<iw_perl>iwpt_output($url_address);</iw_perl>"><img src="...

Try something like the line below instead in all places like the one above. Note the usage of curly brackets instead of angle
brackets, that's how TS gets around the limitation mentioned above. Note the proper usage of nested quotes as well, "...'...'..."
