alter import functionality

Hi,

I have some files which have extended attribute set, these are not dcr files these are images and documents files, but if I download or re-import those files, extended attributes would be lost, is there any way that If I import these files I won't loss any extended attributes.

Please let me know if you know solution

Env TS 6.5 + Solaris 5.8.

Yea, there used to be (in TS 5.X timeframe) a setting in the iw.cfg to preserve EAs on import. This now requires a GUI rebuild.

You should search the forums and/or the UICG.

Note: Configuring this behavior within the ContentCenter GUIs has no effect on files imported into a TeamSite workarea through other means, such as TeamSite Front Office, the Intelligent File System, TeamPortal, or the ContentServices SDK. This behavior can be overridden for either ContentCenter Standard or Professional at the application level.

Not totally sure what that last sentence means, but it otherwise makes it clear that this behavior is part of CC and not part of the file-system.
