Tagging step in workflows is read only

Hi. I've just upgraded from TeamSite 6.5 SP2 to 6.5 SP3. I'm not sure if this is related to this update or not; but there is a very strange issue regarding the tagging step in our workflows:

When we submit a piece of content and initiate a workflow; the tagging step is "read only". The metadata capture form is shown correctly however there is the label (Read Only) in the caption of the form and I cannot enter any data in any of the fields on this form.

If anyone has an idea of what's going on in here; I'd very much appreciate if you could share it with me.

Make sure in your workflow there is no lock on the task. If in the first task there is a lock, tagger UI will load as read-only.

Actually this seems not to be related to a workflow. When I try to tag from the user interface (both CCPro and CCStd), the same read-only behavior is seen. This happens when lock the file beforehand or not.

I opened a case for this at the support site, will see if something comes out of that...

Do you mean to say that even when you unlock the file and also with all the neccesary permissions on the file you are'nt able to set the attributes?

Does the tagger cgi file has the write permission?

Is your CGI task a read only task?

Yes, even with all the permissions I get a read-only tagging screen. I can edit the file itself; even more I can set attributes from the command line using the iwextattr utility...
