Manually remove opendeploy administration package
System
Hi
The interwoven accessservice was remove by mistake and now I'm trying to re-install the administration package and CSF without success. It seem that the installation package detect a previous version of the instalation and will only try to do an update.
I would like to completly remove the previous installation and installed again is there a way or documentation on how this can be done manually?
I did a search in both the KB and this forum without success.
Does anyone have any suggestion...
Denis

I try the search and destry suggestiojn without success. I still get the error above.
I also try uninstall opendeploy twice without success. The error as far as i can see reside in the folowing issue:
1. The administration package will not install as it seem to detect a previous instalation and it will only allow an upgrade,
2. the accessServiec will not start it cannot find the specify path, below is where it's pointing too and in fact it does not exist, there is nothing under the temp folder.
Install propertie path:
c:\temp\I1195585879\Windows\cfs-home\CSF\AccessService\install\JavaService.exe.
The only way i can think of fixing this issue is to remove the application entirly but I can seem to be able to do that any suggestion...

Call support. I had this happen a few years ago with a botched uninstall. Ended up having to give the support geek access to the server and he removed what needed to be removed so I could reinstall.

I agree with Andy. Mostly support will suggest to look into iwinstall directory and do some steps like removing stuff and then working on registry.

Well this was a bit of a nightmare, but after several un-install and re-install test, I was able to make it work.
This was install on a windows 2003 standard edition SP2, OpenDeploy 6.1.1
The step that I took to fix the issue was to uninstall the opendeploy application first then remove any created directory from the install portion, from there I went into the registry and remove any reference to the IWOV and IWAS entry. After that i rebooted the server.
Form there the re-install work just fine.
I would not fully recommend this as a fix for this issue, but if it come down to calling the support staff and your not to far along your instalation I certainly would give it a try first.
Of course in order to do that you would require full admin access to the server where the OpenDeploy apps is install.
Hope this help someone in the future.
