Livesite 3.x with MetaTagger and Teamsite

Hi All,

This may sound a basic question to you.. My apologize for the same. I am using Teamsite6.7.1 with Metatagger 4.1.2 on Solaris 10. The site navigation is controlled by Metatagger and the contents are populated by DCRs which inturn use DD. The pages are rendered to the end user using JSPs(dynamic component from DB).

The requirement at this level to implement Livesite with the current setup. I am new to Livesite and had a quick glance on webcast recording. It basically says that certain sections of a page is identified as a component and the chnages to the content are made in live.

My query over here is can a page driven simultanously by livesite as well as by Teamsite DCR
2) Does livesite perform data deployment?
3) How am I restricting my business user's in populating the contents.(Basically this question is related to maximum replicant size for a section)

Sounds these are basic questions..... but if you could help me then I can proceed further on the investigation part.

Livesite components can consume DCRs for rendering, there is a DCR property that can allow you to inject one or multiple DCRs into your component xml. If you need a more custom mechanism for which dcrs need to be injected into a component you can using an external java implementation to inject what ever information you want into the component xml, including call outs to Databases. Livesite uses Data Deploy to transfer targeting information to the runtime environment. I recommend you see the Developers guide for additional information on component development.
