Search/Replace Characters In Presentation Templates

Hi:

Is there a way, via iw_xml or other means to replace characters before they are output in the presentation template? For example, our default.tpl file outputs ColdFusion content. The hash # is a delimiter in CF syntax. As such, I need to perform some character replacements of these on the output content before it reaches the page. Otherwise, it will draw an error. Any advice you have would be great. Thanks.

iw_perl and regex

Whether you do it on the complete DCR or on individual fields is up to your needs.

You probably should, however, change the DCT or use formapi to prevent them from being inserted in a DCR.
