Hi all!

I am unclear about how the role of a Teamsite user (author/editor/admin/master) is related to the access to a group task in a workflow. In a group task, the group specified in the sharedby tag, specifies the group of users that have access to the group task, but where does the role of a teamsite user come into picture?

A group task belongs to arbitary group of users. It has nothing to do with the role. But yes, if the user is not a valid user, then it will hang up your workflow.

The role of the user comes into the picture about the events or task the user can perform over teamsite.

If the user is not a valid TeamSite user, I do not believe that TeamSite will allow the workflow to be instantiated - rather than letting it be instantiated and "hang up" the workflow.

Hey Adam... i know you are a consultant. I was saying that the work which you have done to trace the incorrect words in my post has to be done by moderators employed by IWOV.

So now you're saying that because I'm not employed by Interwoven I should not be allowed to correct erroneous information in your posts?

These are public forums - we are supposed to add to the collective wisdom and correct errors where/when we see them so that those who follow the thread (now or later) can be provided more detailed and accurate information.

Unless you have something constructive to add or counter the above - I suggest you just let this side-thread die where it is.

I am trying to point out that these things should be done by IWOV people more promptly. Even, i was appreciating your efforts to make the posts accurate and more useful.

After all the discussion of who pays Adam, his point is spot on. If I am in a group that is used in a review process and I am not a TS user, or if I am in a group that is not Read Only and I do not have write access to the workarea, then the workflow will fail before it starts, during the validation in instantiation.

Thats absolutely correct.
