Error accessing WORKAREA

Hi,

My Teamsite is running version 6.7.1, windows platform. In my iw.cfg, it was set branch_security=off and workarea_security=off.

By right, the workarea will be grey out if user does not have the permission to access the workarea.

Unfortunately, i'm still able to see the WORKAREA name. When i click on the workarea name, i got this error
Unexpected error listing contents of //cecisapp01/default/main/WORKAREA/xxxxxx/xxxx/xxxx/****

I understand the above error message would not be a good one however is your concern that the workarea is displayed.

First set workarea_security=on and run iwreset.

Second,check Restrict ACCESS TO WORAREA on the workarea screen in CCP. Third, if WA still appears, check the filesystem permissions. Remove Read permissions for everyone if they are still there...

For your second suggestion, i'm not able to view the security setting of the workarea via Windows Explorer simple because permission denied. I don't understand why. I login to the server using a userid who is a member of Administrators group. Aren't it's the same as administrator user? why i can't view the security setting?

Are you able to get any errors in servletd logs?? Also are you using any third part authentication module for maintaing group names info, user's details etc.,

Root cause:
com.interwoven.cssdk.access.CSAuthorizationException: //cecisapp01/default/main/ChinaWebsite/WORKAREA/EBU/.(Permission denied)

I am experiencing the same error on a couple of workareas and have not yet figured out what it is about these workareas that is preventing apparently correct permissions from allowing the appropriate users from browsing thier contents.

Were you able to find the cause of your problem?
I am thinking about recreating the workarea to see if that helps.
