PDF server rendition problem !!

Hello everybody,

I have been working on this problem for weeks, I cannot manage to get PDF renditions from Web Comps, I believe that I follow all instructions from the Admin guide and even from the AAES start guide and I still having no renditions at all.

My configuration is the following, Linux RHEE 4 for the CMS, Notification, Replication and Workroute; Windows 2003 SP2 (US English) for Indexer and PDF server; Linux RHEE 4 for the Web Comps, SQLserver2005 as DBS and WSMP5.0P1 all over.

I have test the AAES and it seems that is working fine (IN, OUT folders and printing MSWord documents as PDFs)

While I request a MSWord document to be view as PDF, I see that the PDF server works (AAES), since converts all documents selected into PDFs but on the Web Comps prompts an alert saying that the PDF rendition is not available, this is what I get in the MP indexer logs:

I believe this was a bug in 5.0P1 that was fixed in SP1.

Could you send me more information about this bug? Do you know what platforms are affected ?

That could make sense, even that I am working on different platforms, I have a WSMP5.0GA (no patch) test environment running on Windows XP and I don’t have this error.

It is not platform dependent. In 5.0 we changed the way we handle application formats and we overlooked the indexer. It is trying to use a hard coded SID that may not be there. In SP1 we are searching for the app format instead of using the hard coded SID.

If you have a library that was migrated from 4.1, it should work. If it is a new library it won't work. It could be the other way around; my memory is not that good anymore :-(

It's a new MP5.0P1 installation (not even from 5.0 to 5.0P1)

As far as I know, SP1 is not ready yet, in the meanwhile, do you suggest that I should uninstall patch1 from all servers or only from Indexer server ? (I have two servers/machines: CMS and Indexer)

Both 5.0GA and P1 have the same problem. The only option is to wait for SP1.
