Hi Guys,

I am getting this error

***ERROR - Send attributes to receiver got RC = -1
ENG: 2007-11-23 23:03:11 GMT+00:00 Thread-155 exiting setup

when I am deploying Solaris(5.8) OD base 6.1.1 to OD base 6.1.1(Windows), I tried but still having a problem to deploy content.

Can you provide a bit more context from the log?
Are you sure the Receiver is up? and listening to the port you're trying to send data over?

I tried with telnet and its getting connected and since in the log it mentioned that Connection to host has established but still I couldn't figure it out, may be both servers are behind two different firewall
Sender sides are connecting to different ip address which tranlated to different ip address which metioned in the odbase and odnodes file.

If you're going through a firewall which does NAT - then you have to configure the server (receiver side only I believe, but it's been a while) accordingly - and I believe this is documented in the manuals.

I dont think the Rc is down. Because the administrator sent me an e-mail with the following:
[X88112@stwa3009] /usr/OpenDeploy/OpenDeployNG/bin > ./iwodserverstatus
OpenDeploy server host: localhost, RMI registry port: 9173
OpenDeploy server is alive.
0 deployments are currently active.
And he restarted the server again.

After changing the odnodes etc do I need to restart some server or receiver?

If you change the odnodes.xml on the sender (which is generally the only place it matters) then you need to restart the sending service (either completely or though the use of iwodcmd serverreset).

You still need to verify that the receivers is listening on the same IP address & Port that the sender believes it is listening on - sometimes receivers have multiple NIC's / IP addresses and the one being listened on is not the same one that, by default, the sender is trying to connect to, Tools like telnet, netstat, etc. are your friends.

I could not exucute iwodcmd serverreset on the server. It gave me "***ERROR - Request denied.
RELOAD_SVR_CONFIG" back.

So I restarted all the 3 service in the service window. But I have still got the same problem after restart Smiley Sad

(1) Are u the bootstrap user?

(2) Is od-admin/od-user role enabled for your ID, from the opendeploy User Interface?

(3) In deploy.cfg available @od-home/etc folder, check if the authorization configuration is set to Y? If so then change it to 'NO'.

The cause of this problem was, Rc was waiting for a SSL connection request and I send a not SSL connection request.
