SP2 not able to find current version

Hi Everyone,

OS: Solaris
TS : 6.1 SP1

I am trying to Install SP2 for TS 6.1 on Solaris. I am able to gunzip the installer and when I try to install the SP2 I am getting "Cannot determine the Teamsite current version".

I have extracted my SP2 files on /export/home/myID/file.tar.zip

My iw-home is at : usr/iw-home

Both these are mounted at different disk:
/dev/md/dsk/d70 :: mounts /export/home
/dev/md/dsk/d60 :: mounts /usr/iw-home

Anyone any idea as what could be the reason for this.

Note: When I tried the command iwgethome from /export/home I am able to get the correct path.

Could it be that the

iwinstall

folder was corrupted, removed, ... ? Normally it's at

IWHOME/../iwinstall

I'm pretty sure the installer looks at the iwov-inventory.xml file at that location.

I checked at the location but could not find the file, also I was under impression that installer runs iwgethome to get the path.

Also installer reached private.bin where it execute the and extract JRE.

After that it gives this error.

Any information from where does the installer picks up the version information from also does it create any log files I coud not locate any..

As per installer.sh there is a properties files there but I could not locate it at current directory.. Any information?

ok, given that iwgethome => /usr/iw-home
you should have a folder /usr/iwinstall
if you don't, or it's been partially deleted, you're in trouble

Thanks, yes folder is not there on the location, asked for it to be restored from backup, any particular thing to keep in mind!
