Create a DCR by reading an XML and verify it using a DTD

Hi,

I want to create dcr's that open up by reading an XML and on saving/generating it should get verified in accordance with the DTD for the XML. Can anyone provide me some tips on this?

Also, i need help on parsing an xml using teamsite. I can parse dcr's using Teamsite: Smiley Very Happy

CRNode but i beleive i cannot use it for XML's.

Kindly suggest.

I suggest reading the FormsPublisher manuals - since they do cover the use of DTD to validate DCRs.

You can use TeamSite: Smiley Very Happy

CRnode, TeamSite::XMLnode, XML: Smiley Tongue

For verification you may want to try IWOV XML Validator. perldoc iwhome/bin/iwxml_validate.ipl

IMHO you are better writing one of your own. When importing you want to check a structure (or all the tempatedata dir).

So I use something like this:

Depends on what you want. Your code will work as long as XMLs are wellformed. Gursher wants to verify DTD conformity.
For that you'll need XML::Checker: Smiley Tongue

Point taken. You certainly can use XML::CHeck: Smiley Tongue

My 2 main points are the ability to do a complete directory structure at once (when doing an import that is important) and the fact that DCR: Smiley Tongue

arser won't choke on bad data. I have seen on too many imports, not all fields get UTF-8 encoded (more often, none) or something gets missed. This allows you to get a list of the DCRs that will not open correctly in a DCR and fix those. Anything else is the content group's problem. Smiley Very Happy

Perlodoc is a program to format and display documentation in "pod" format that is embedded in the perl code.

Command is included into IWOV Perl distribution and the syntax I gave you before was literally a command
to execute from your TS server Command prompt. Just do it, see what happens. For gory details look here
