DCR Viewable....????

TS6.5sp2 on Win.

It seems that some one have made it possible to view each and every field in a dcr with out actually editing it??? IS IT POSSIBLE..????

Its like you click on DCR instead of clicking on Edit and it will show fields in white not grayed out with selected options ..

How to enable this??

I am not certain what your question is.

Can you rephrase the question and/or include a screenshot ?

From what you said, it sounds like you are puzzled that you can click on a DCR (not edit) and view it readonly.

Yes that has been supported for a long time and if you have fields that are hidden by formapi, they will be visible since formapi does not run when you view a DCR only when you edit it.

Lol, I am not puzzled andy. its kind of weird request from one of our managers. Lookat the attached image there are fileds like "Purchase Options" or "Associate Technologies" these are list boxes which are selected and in DCR view (Not Editing DCR). they are grayed out. They want it to be in white with selections intact so that they can scroll down to see what else have been selected.

P.S They do not want to click edit to see what are in those fields.

OK, so that makes more sense. I certain thought you knew about the view functionality, hence my confusion.

On my system I did a view and popped up a DCR with several select lists with scrollbars. 1 of the scrollbars works, the others do not. I will experiment to see when that works/doesn't.

So on your system are the scrollbars fixed in view mode ?

As to changing the background from gray to white, you *should* be able to do that with a stylesheet, but I have no idea where to start.

well i am not particular about the gray background. As long as scrollbars work in view mode i am fine with it i guess. And this should also apply to select boxes.

On 6.7.1, it seems as if the bar is not scrollable if it is a single selection, which makes sense since it shows the selected item. If you have multiple selections then it is active. You may want to peruse the bug list as it may be something fix since it is not behaving that way in 6.5
