Permission in teamsite folders

Hello,

I was not sure if this was the right forum. If not please let me know.

In our server when we do a "Get Latest" in our workarea the permissions are lost. This happens only when we do a "Get Latest". We then have to go to the y: drive (IFS Volume) and then mannualy replace permission. Is there a way to make the permissions stick to the folders.
