TFO client install

In trying to install TFO client on 5.0.1 (TFO server on Solaris), reviewing the Installation Prerequisites in the Admin guide, come across the bullet point stating "Network shares are exported from the TeamSite file system by Server Message Block (SMB)"-

can somebody tell me how to verify this on Solaris?
do you know if it is the default after the TS and TFO server install?
