getting rid of old users

Hello friends,

I have a requirement such that I need to get rid of all such users who has not been using TeamSite for say past 6 months.I also need to take into consideration things such as whether the user is still a valid OS user, if the user has changed domain etc.

Can anyone provide some inputs about how the approach should be for doing this?

Well - iwrecentusers will show you a list of all users who have logged into TeamSite since the last time the server was restarted - which might get you part of the way there (both in terms of elimination from removal, and slated for removal if the server's been running for more than 6 months) Beyond that, I don't believe there is anyway to determine who has / has not logged into TeamSite in a specified period of time.

As for determining if they're a valid OS user - there are a number of ways to do that - but it depends on the OS and/or whether you're using local OS accounts or LDAP / ActiveDirectory accounts.
