Can we pass more parameters in the parent.getScriptFrame()

I have a requirement where i want to populate the dropdown2 when there is a selection made in dropdown1.Now i need to pass two different parameters in my getLocation.ipl 's parent.getScriptFrame().one parameter is an array and the other is index of the currently selected replicant's index.
Anybody please suggest on this.

The array has to be a javascript array - not a perl array (this seems to confuse a number of people).

If that doesn't help - please simplify the code in question to demonstrate the problem and post the code.

I have attached my datacapture ,js and the getLocation.ipl.And also I am not able to go through the different product child of the category which has values alone so iam using for loop iterate through all the items.As a result of it i don't have values for the defaultCity and this gives null value and the call to the callserver is not going.Please suggest me on this.

I stopped looking at the code when I saw this:

        }
    var defaultCity = cityItem.getOptions()[parseInt(cityItem.getValue())].value;
...

Clearly the logic is broken here as cityItem is defined solely within the scope of the for loop, and it gets re-assigned 10 times before you attempt to use the value (which probably doesn't exist) to set defaultCity.

I suggest you spend a bit more time reviewing your code and making sure it all is correctly written before you worry about trying to debug this issue - it is quite possible your problem will disappear once you fix your code.

I have modified the js and i call the function once only but now null values are returned from the Server.From my getLocations.ipl i am not able to get the second argument which i am passing in the JS.Can you suggest me in this .As i don't have any idea how to go through the replicants.Now i have made all the 10 Products inside the Category container to be available when the form is loading.I have attached my modified js file.

Well - I just looked it up on the web and it appears that javascript is far less strict about variable scoping than I assumed in my previous response - so perhaps that wasn't the issue.

I don't have the time now to look at this, and possible not later either - so hopefully someone else can figure out what the source of your problem is - but in the meantime I suggest you keep trying to debug it on your own.

I've done this before... I have 3 multiselect boxes. User selects option from the first box, box 2 updates. User then selects options from box 2 then box 3 updates. User can select from box 3 but not req'd

It is possible to do... the things I ran into were making sure I structured my callservers so they weren't conflicting and keeping the values selected on edit.

My requirement is different,as yours i don't have 3 dropdown depending upon previous i need to load the values in consecutive dropdowns.I have 2 containers,in the first container i have dropdown1 and depending upon its selection how many dropdown2 is expanded in the container 2 has to be populated.Can you suggest me on this.Is there any methods to check how many replicants are expanded currently.
