Hi,

Can I invoke any type of callout in tpl file instead of invoking in DCT?

I am invoking one ipl file using command in DCT. Now I want to use the same in tpl file.

Any suggestions?

I don't think it is possible. BTW what are you trying to achieve by this callout?

I want to show one dropdown in generated html file. That dropdown is populating from a .properties file using ipl callout in DCT. The same list which is provided in .properties file, should be showed in generated html file. I can hardcode the values but the problems is: when ever a user wants to add some columns, he can edit that .properties file and corresponding dropdown will be updated automatically.

I would like to show a dropdown, the values should come from teamsite managed file.

You can use JS or Perl to add that particular drop down in your generated page.

How about you try it on your own - spend some time trying to figure it out, and then, if you still have problems: post your code and explain the specifics of the problem.

Note: You only need the CDATA tags if your PT is written in strict-XML mode (i.e.: wraps everything in

<iw_pt name="..."> ... </iw_pt>

) if you make that an empty element or remove it altogether, you don't need the CDATA tags anymore and it makes it much easier to read your PT code.

Also - you never check the results of your

open()

call - so, if for any reason it cannot open that file, your PT may fail in a very confusing manner.
