Bug with clients with hidden boolean fields:-

Tested on DeskSite 8.0 SP1 AND DeskSite 8.2 Patch 3


1) both version of clients create hidden boolean fields (C26-C28) set to N when any workspace is edited. (see relevant webdoc for values)

2) The 8.0 client is not affected by 1) since creating a sub folder does not inherit these hidden workspace properties. (see projects_nvps)

3) The 8.2 client IS affected by 1) since creating a folder does inherit hidden properties (i.e. the 4 Booleans props (C26-C28) into NVPS table and is seen in the folder profile UI. In our case the captions for these props were from the wrong DB as well!


We are upgrading from the old to new clients as above so need to set all CBOOL fields for all webdocs to NULL , but any edit of the workspace props will reset the bools to Ns - so will have to set up a nightly job to fix up this bug.
