Caught exception in getUser()?

Hi,

Env:
Windows 2003
OD 6.2.0.0.0 Build 68916

Error: Found the following on OD.LOG

OpenDeploy server host: localhost, RMI registry port: 9173
***ERROR - Starting deployment.
Caught exception in getUser(). Details: null
OpenDeploy server host: localhost, RMI registry port: 9173
***ERROR - Starting deployment.
Caught exception in getUser(). Details: null

But the deployment was successful through the workflow.

Using: <OD-HOME>/bin/iwodcmd.exe start

The users are created in the same box. The box is under "NoDomain".

Running the legacy iwodstart Command Line Tool when logged in as a non-Administrator user retruns a ‘Caught exception in getUser(). Details: null’ error

Fix: Switch to using ‘iwodcmd start’ to invoke deployments as the ‘iwodstart’ Command Line Tool (CLT) is a legacy Java-based command that has been supplanted by the iwodcmd CLT and its start action.

But i am using "iwodcmd start". And still getting this error.
Any idea?

On both i am getting the error.

It certainly sounds like there is a bug in 6.2. I only have 6.1 so I cannot test it out.

Have you tried to turn user authentication off ?

Can you give it a try with a domain user as a workaround?

I suggest you run the deployment in debug mode. From command line, you can run the following command:
iwodstart deploymentName -debug
This will log the debug messages on your console. Please paste the output from the above command.

Even after turning off the Authentication, we can see the same error in od.log
