Login Failure

Hi all,

before I get to the details, a little info.

SOL 5.8
TS 5.5.2

Now, before I hear all the polite statements that it's been EOL for more than two years - I know it so please save the bandwidth. Due to a serious quagmire here, we have been unable to migrate 5.5.2 content to 6, and the 5.5.2 is being kicked off the original platform (EOL itself) so we have to duplicate the whole production environment on new servers.

Auth is by PAM

A new install of TS produces the following error in authenticating the user at login:

I have removed the user from the entity db (iwuser -d -loc E::) and iwreset -ui, iw.server stop_all. no go. I even completely rebuilt the entity db. What I am most interested in is the part in the trace:

Could_not_get_the_pass_phrase

If someone would be so kind as to tell me what passphrase - the user's password or something else ?

any help would be greatly appreciated, particularly by our business users and by people using public content.

It seems that your Team Site server has problems parsing Kerberos' ticket, probably TGT. Check KB Articles 2136 and 2298.

You've mentioned EOL Platform upgrade as the root cause of the migrate, note that you may have different PAM module
because of that. TS version EOL or not, you should be able to confirm with TS Support if your Platform/PAM combination
is (was?) compatible with 5.5.2
