Is it possible to save a dcr in a folder other than data folder ? for example Teamplatedata\Content\data\folder1\folder2\test.dcr or
Teamplatedata\Content\folder1\folder2\data\test.dcr

It will always be templatedata/CATEGORY/TYPE/data

You can change templatedata, category and type, but there must be 3 folders. You can have sub dirs under data.

That is what I do, 2 things to try, use forward slash instead of backslash and also I use an initial slash:

myDCRname="/dir/foo.xml";
IWDatacapture.save(myDCRname);

When is this being called ? on saveValid ?

Also how do you verify that the dir exists (or do you need to) ? I use a callserver to create the dir if it is not there. JS will not.

Yes, I am calling this routine in onSaveValid. Also for testing purposes I've created these folders manully

I tried this IWDatacapture.save("/Test/Test1/test2.dcr"); TeamSite still saved the dcr (default name iwDCR0_161226 ) into data folder. Once saved when I edit again and save it I am getting this popup error message

Save was unsuccessful. Invalid path //mostls9eorsdev2.itservices.com/default/main/Business/WORKAREA/Business/templatedata/Templates/CreateContent/data/mostls9eorsdev2.itservices.com/default/main/Business/WORKAREA/Business/Templatedata/Templates/CreateContent/data/iwDCR0_161226 was received.

I also tried IWDCRInfo.setDCRName("/Test/Test1/test2.dcr", null); it's the same effect..

do you have autonaming turned on in tempalting.cfg ?

Yes. I've added return true in the method and that fixed the problem.

This causes a problem for presentation templates.. I am getting "An error occurred in utility daemon. Error code: 6. Please see details in iwutild.log. " pop up message.. Also I am getting
"ERROR com.interwoven.ui.formspub.utils.PTCompiler (EORSDEV3\eorsdev commandID iw.formspub.do_preview) - retCode: 6" in servletd_out log file and also I am seeing this error in iwutild_cmdout

apparantly it's adding ../data folder for opeing this dcr. Can this be changed ?
