Passing parameters from DNR to script

When the script gets executed by DNR are there default parameters that are sent to the script by the DNR call? I tried searching for it in the manuals but no luck

can I use $filelist^ as a parameter for a perl script even though this is usually for substitution in the configuration files.

I'm wondering if I can use this as a parameter for a normal perl script code called by the DNR

First - this should be posted on the OpenDeploy forum - not the TeamSite forum.

Second - no, there are no default parameters passed to DNR scripts - you can certainly include parameters, including those that are substituted through the command line (e.g.: $filelist^) as you desire. Though if the script is running after the deployment has occurred, you can read the in-memory log from STDIN and parse it with odhome/solutions/perl/IWXML.pm

Also if i were to use $filelist^ as parameter passing on to perl script this parameter is a string right which I can parse the list of files if it is more than 1 file being deployed?

How can I move this thread to opendeploy forum since I do not have that privledges sorry about that

Are you still trying to "Deploy files that have certain extended attributes"? If the answer is 'Yes' then perhaps you
misunderstood previous posts.

It sounds like you've got your logistics reversed. Somehow you want a DNR script run by OD to perform your MD filtering.
Try it the other way around, it'll get much simpler. So, write a script that:

a) Scans your directory(ies), checks MD's and writes the relative Path of the Files you want to Deploy into arbitrarily named "Deployment List" File.
b) executes "odcmd start" to call Open Deploy with the configuration that defines File List Deployment with the (freshly created) List.

Note that "File List Deployment" is actually one of the supported Deployment modes. In OD Configuration you indicate a File that contains
a list of Files to Deploy, See OpenDeploy® Administration Guide for details

Run perldoc on the file - I believe I made sure there was perldoc information on it some years ago, and hopefully it was updated if the code changed since then.

Unfortunately, you can't - you should just keep it in mind for the next thread you start to try to make sure you start it in the right forum.

I have got the dnr script to work passing the filelist and in my perl script i check whether the file has right extended attributes or not.
