Installation halts b/c TS can't find OS patches patches for JDK 1.4
teamster05
Hello,
I am installing a new TeamSite server to mirror an existing production server. The install path will be installing: 6.1.0 SP1 SP2 6.7.1. However, after extracting the 6.1 tar file, I run into the following error:
This is the TeamSite 6.1.0.0 installation program.
It requires the operating system patches for JDK 1.4. The installation
program did not find the relevant operating system patch log file in /var/sadm/install_data.
If these patches are not installed, type 'quit'.
Respond to each prompt and press Enter to proceed to the next step in the installation. If you want to change something on a previous step, type 'back'.
You may cancel this installation at any time by typing 'quit'.
Now this error is covered in KB article; 53147, 58317, and on DevNet. The solution appears to “install” all Solaris 9 related patches for JDK 1.4 but nobody is actually referring to the necessary path IDs.
At this point in time, every Solaris 9 path available has been installed. I have attached a showrev –p output. I am currently running Solaris 9 Generic_118558-39 and java version "1.4.2_08"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_08-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2_08-b03, mixed mode).
I am not sure why the installer is complaining because every software requirement has been satisfied. Am I missing anything? If you know which patch the installer is looking for within the /var/sadm/install_data directory, please let me know.
Many thanks!
