Workarea File Lock Issue

Hi All,

I have following error The file templatedata/****_English/YY/data/0420061158 is already locked by you in workarea //default/main/XXXX/WORKAREA/YYY.

I was using different workarea (Y). When I logged back into main workarea (X). File is locked? Even in workarea (Y) file is locked. How do I get it unlocked?

Any assistance would be appreciated...

Environment: TS 6.5 SP2 Win2003 STD

What privileges do you have? Are you working on CC Pro or CC STD?

I am assuming that as you have locked the file, there is a small KEY next to the file. If there is a padlock on it, chances are someone else has it locked.

Hover over the locked file and check the tool tip... what does it say?

I am logged on as Master.

This file thats locked was created in Workarea B and since DCT appears in Workarea A and B. File also showed up in Workarea A after deployed to web server from Workarea B.

Any idea on what the tooltip says? Also, it is not necessary that as a master, you have have privileges to unlock files if you are not a member of the workarea. I am assuming here that you are unable to click the 'Edit' button either.

Do you have folder level permissions within your workarea?

When you say you deployed to web server and it appeared in WA A, I am assuming that you did a get latest in WorkArea A for that file.

Do you know who the workarea owner is? Can they unlock it?
