OD admin interface doesn't need password to login?

Hi,
we are on OD 6.1 on w2k3 sp1.
i noticed that everytime i login, i only need to put in my username and select a server and role. then OD admin lets me in. as long as i put in a user that was added to the authorized users list, OD login doesnt care if the password is correct or not, and it doesnt care if a password is in there or not.

is this how it suppose to work? or am i missing some configuration? has anybody worked with OD like that before?
we have boostrap who is the admin. and few users that i added thru the interface.

We had that issue last year with OD 6.1.0. It has been logged as a bug (#66769). Look on the support site there is a patch for it.

Alternatively an upgrade to 6.1.1 will also fix this issue.

ok so 6.1.0 has this bug and 6.1.1 doesnt? because i called the support and they said that 6.1 shouldnt need a patch because it doesnt have this problem...

if 6.1.1 will fix it, i will defenitly consider an upgrade.

I remember 6.1.1 fixing the issue. Though it brought over other problems as the font and UI changed.

I would strongly suggest using Mozilla Firefox with the add-on that lets you expand any form element on the html.

I'm use OpenDeploy 6.1.0 and apply the patch (IWOVopendeploy.6.1.0.0.0.P3.Build61563.Windows.exe) but seem haven't fix this bug, or maybe I should modify the configure files?

try to login using bootstrap account... then add a user that is local to the machine where opendeploy (admin and base )is running .. if you are trying to login using an account that is local on different server i think u will have to install iw accessservice on that machine too.

i installed patch3 and it immediatly fixed the memory usage and the credential issues
