I am new to Interwoven. I try to consume Interwoven web service GetDocuments to get a document, and receive the following error message, please help! Thanks.

Would you let me know what is this "2301401"? This does not resemble the ObjectID that the ObjectIDs array expects. The ObjectID is the moniker/unquie id representing the document object, and it has this format:

e.g.:

This method assumes that you already have the document object id. If you know the document number, version, database, and server, you should be able to build your own objectid string based on the given format:

!nrtdms:0:!session:[SERVERNAME]:!database:[DATABASENAME]:!document:[DOCNUMBER],[DOCVERSION]:

If you don't have the objectid to the document or are not comfortable with building your own, you may opt for the SearchDocuments Method which is used to return documents by profile values, such as the document number, author, description, etc.

I need search document based on document number, for example, "2304940", and library to Search "MILW". I can't get any results.
There were no error messages.

With the same parameters, I use InterWoven DeskSite (Windows application) search documents option, Decument Search, I can find the document.

In the above code, you are search by the document description - not document number - but you have stated that you would like to search by docnum, which would be represented by imProfileAttributeID.imProfileDocNum.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I finally got it to wrok. But I can't display the returned document correctly in IE browser. How do I determine correct document type, such as, ms word, pdf, or other types from SearchDocumentsOutput object? How do I get document properties?

You would need to specify that in your outputmask and the outputprofile.
