Renaming a templated html file

How do I rename a templated html file? I'm on a TeamSite 4.x version. When I want to rename, I just delete the html and Generate a new HTML. Just renaming the html would loose the link to the Data Record. Am I doing the right thing? Is there any other better solution, especially in the later TeamSite versions.

How are you trying to rename the templated file ? If you use "File->Rename" menu, the file should keep its extended attribute and hence the link to DCR. I even tried renaming it from file system interface and it still worked. I tested on 5.5.2 , but I believe this functionality has been there since 5.01. (Not sure about 4.5.1 or earlier).

Yes, I was using the File -> Rename. Don't know if this was a problem with 4.x and was fixed 5.0 and upwards. Have to ask Interwoven Support I guess.
