Requested By

Hi

Iam using TS 6.5.

When i submit a workflow with owner "OWNER"(Area Owner) and Creator(Initiating User) The Requested By in the Task list is showing OWNER. My issue is if i make the Initiating User as the owner of the workflow then, he is able to Approve the approval task as well.

What i want is a way to Show the user who initaited the workflow in the "Requested By" column of the Task List.

That is workflow specific. You are asking us to debug a workflow we know nothing about. Is this one of the out workflows or a custom one ?

Thanks for your reply. Its a Modified version of Solution Workflow. To make it simpler.

The "Requested By" column displayes the Owner of the Workflow Correct ?
The owner of the workflow can move the task even though he is not the owner of the task. Correct ?

If both the above statements are right then how to make the Request By Column to appear as the user who initiate the workflow, but still make sure he dont have rights to move the task if he is not the owner of the task.

You are not telling any more details. Which solutions workflow ? How was it modified ?

You need to update the user interface and control what gets displayed for the requested by column in the workflow.

Look at the UICG manual, focus on the area where it talks about the workflow column customization. This is a bit tricky, but creator, owner, etc. are predefined values that you can configure so the desired information shows up.
